Meet Our Team
Ian Hammond
Ian and Hanna married during his time at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS. During their time in Jackson, they planted a RUF International among the students at Mississippi College. While serving with RUF International, both Ian and Hanna were convinced that serving internationals was the best job in the world, so upon graduation, they moved to Evanston, IL to plant a RUF-I at Northwestern University and serve there full-time.
Mike Hernberg
Mike Hernberg was raised in the Boston, Massachusetts area and is a life-long Boston Red Sox fan. He has lived in Boston, Rochester, NY, Southern California and has resided in Wheaton, IL since 2013. He is married to Kathy and they share six children and seven grandchildren. Mike recently graduated from Wheaton College with an MA in Evangelism and Leadership. He was a Certified Financial PlannerĀ® and has over twenty years of experience in finance and quantitative analysis in financial services and the profit and non-profit sectors.
Hanna Hammond
Hanna and Ian met through RUF as students and fell in love with international ministry in college. Hanna studied accounting in undergrad, got an MBA, and audited some RTS classes for fun while Ian was in seminary. They were married in May of 2015 and the following month planted a RUF International at Mississippi College while Ian was finishing up seminary at RTS Jackson. They moved to Evanston, IL in 2017 to plant a RUF International at Northwestern University. Hanna loves to travel, considers herself a foodie, and was an international student herself in South Korea.
Ian Clarke
Hailing from Jackson, MS, Ian Clarke was raised just a few blocks from where he attended Belhaven University, receiving a BA in Theatre and Classical Education Studies. It was there that the Lord used RUF to encourage and strengthen his faith and where the Lord introduced him to his now-wife Katrina, whom he married in June 2021. In the few years since graduation, Ian and Katrina have lived in Kansas City and Chicago as Katrina has pursued her career as a ballerina. Ian has gone on to receive his MA in Biblical and Theological Studies from Belhaven University. They are both excited to use their artistic strengths in ministry to the international students of Northwestern University.
