From the Coordinator | FALL 2026

Dear Friends,

As parents, Holly and I dropped our first (of four) at university this Fall. It wasn’t long before we began hearing how the RUF staff at his campus helped him find a place at both RUF and the local PCA church. We know that our experience is not unique–thousands of students have been welcomed at campus ministries around the country over the last few months.

At RUF, we want to strengthen those who already hold deep Christian convictions and to embrace students who are skeptical, exploring big questions, or completely unfamiliar with Christianity. We do all of this in pursuit of our mission to reach students for Christ and equip them to serve.

In addition to reaching American and international students on U.S. campuses, we are unleashing our RUF Global ministry. Chad Brewer, our Assistant Coordinator for RUF Global, describes it this way:

“If you walk into the RUF Global office, you won’t find a map marked with where we intend to go. Instead, you’ll find a telephone. RUF-G exists to answer the call when international Reformed and Presbyterian churches ask for help reaching college students in their local context. Over the last five years, these invitations have grown exponentially. This fall, Andrew Rein asked me to focus entirely on ‘unleashing’ RUF-G to serve the global Church—equipping local leaders, establishing and supporting campus ministries worldwide to see Christ’s church built up for generations to come.”

We hope you will be encouraged by the RUF-G stories in this newsletter and that you’ll join us in praying for this arm of our ministry. We would also appreciate your prayerful consideration of supporting RUF Global. We believe the harvest is plentiful in these universities around the world, and we believe the Lord has blessed RUF with the capabilities and the faithfulness to pursue it with vigor. We have the mission, we have the model, we believe we will have the ministers and missionaries. To fully meet this challenge, we need ~$1M in recurring income to support Chad and the team he is building. Will you join us?

The stories in this newsletter are possible because of your partnership. Thank you for your prayers for our students and staff, for your encouragement to those on the front lines, and for your faithful financial support.

Gratefully,

Andrew Rein
Coordinator for RUF

RUF Global exists to reach and equip students on college campuses outside the U.S. and to support the work of churches around the world, all for the sake of building Christ’s Church globally.

1. Supporting the work of the global Church:

RUF Global responds to invitations from missionaries, churches, and international denominations to build campus ministries outside of the U.S. This fall, the Lord has opened doors for us to plant three new ministries in Belgium, Uganda, and the UK.

We also provide training and mentoring to missionaries and local church leaders who want to be equipped for Reformed, Church-driven ministry to college students. Since 2025, we have held annual training events in Africa. Over the next few years, we want to expand these events to three additional continents: Asia, Europe, and South America.

2. Supporting short-term mission trips:

We believe that one of the fruits of the Christian faith is a heart for evangelism and missions. We help foster a heart for the Great Commission by providing support for short-term mission trips for RUF ministries in the U.S.

It has been a joy to see more and more connections between RUF, MTW, and Serge, our missions partners. Additionally, the growth of RUF International and RUF Global ministries has formed a greater zeal for cross-cultural ministry in the lives of our RUF students. In 2025, we sent 520 students on mission trips in 8 different countries. In 2026, that number grew by 27%.
