Russ Whitfield

Russ Whitfield serves as the Assistant Coordinator of Cross-Cultural Advancement for RUF. He came to faith while studying at New York University, where he earned a Bachelor of Music, and later received his MDiv from Westminster Theological Seminary. Russ first connected with RUF while serving alongside the campus minister at Southern Methodist University as a staff member of a local church. Not long after this initial connection with RUF, Russ began speaking at RUF conferences, served on the RUF permanent committee, and now helps support RUF’s mission by equipping staff to reach every demographic of the college campus. Russ has also served in a range of ministry roles including church planting, coaching/ consulting, pastoral leadership, and theological education. He now lives in Atlanta with his wife, Vanessa, and their four children.
