JR Foster

JR serves as the Area Coordinator for South Carolina, central and western North Carolina. As an Area Coordinator, his role involves the shepherding and coaching of ministry staff in his area in addition to consulting with presbyteries through its RUF committees. He is a proud graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Arts in English, as well as an Master's in Higher Education. He earned a M.Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte.

Upon graduation from seminary, JR began his tenure with RUF in 1999 as Campus Minister at Florida State University. After five years in Florida, JR began a new RUF at Virginia Tech, where he served for six years. In 2010, the Fosters moved to South Carolina for JR to begin a call as Area Coordinator. He is married to his wife, Eliza, whom he met while they were both students at Clemson. JR and Eliza are the parents of Ethan, Blake, and Abbey, as well as in-laws to Ethan’s wife, Rylie.
