Join us Wednesdays at 7:30PM at Redeemer Presbyterian Church

RUF is here at UGA to meet students with the grace of Jesus right where they are and without leaving them stuck there.

Regardless of your beliefs or doubts, RUF is a place for you to explore Christianity and grow in your understanding of who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him in community with others at the University of Georgia. All are welcome!

Ben Coppedge

Ben Coppedge

Campus Minister

Ben is the Campus Minister at UGA RUF. He went to UGA and during the tail end of his undergrad years, God brought him to new life in Jesus. During his time in Athens, he also went to grad school, served as an RUF intern, and met Anna—his wife of 12 years. After living a few years in Philadelphia while attending seminary, he and Anna moved West and served students at New Mexico State University RUF for an unforgettable 4 and a half years. Anna and Ben share life and a boatload of chaos with their four energetic kiddos—Eli (10), Addie (9), Noah (7), and Evangeline (5). Ben’s here at UGA for you and would love to meet up! You can reach him at 706-372-4627 or Ben.Coppedge@ruf.org.

Caysie Ashton

Caysie Ashton

Campus Staff

Originally a midwesterner from Omaha, Nebraska, I still love sunsets and pop and straightforward conversations. In college, I got my first taste of the south when I attended University of Kentucky, where I learned to love sweet tea and basketball. I graduated in 2019 with degrees in Public Relations and Spanish, and moved even further south to Athens, Georgia to intern with RUF at the University of Georgia. I am in love with the gorgeous weather, and still learning to appreciate boiled peanuts. After two years of interning from 2019-2021, I transitioned to the role of Campus Staff in 2021. The students of UGA have my heart, and it's a joy to get to walk with them towards Jesus. May his glory be made more fully known in Athens and beyond. Go Cats and Go Dawgs!

Felicity Holton

Felicity Holton

Intern

Felicity is from Haymarket, Virginia and graduated from Virginia Tech in 2023 with a degree in Computational Modeling & Data Analytics. She has previously interned in the corporate world, but felt a deep desire to serve the community that had such a profound impact on her. Throughout college, Felicity became passionate about deepening her desire to know and love Jesus, and RUF helped her do just that. She enjoys meeting new friends, traveling, running, reading, and solving complex math problems. She is incredibly excited to know and love the students at University of Georgia!

Eliot Jones

Eliot Jones

Intern

Growing up in Chattanooga, TN, Eliot grew lots of love for adventure and the great outdoors. This love of all things outside and hilly encouraged him to graduate from Mississippi State (which is very outside and very not hilly) with a degree in forestry in 2023. Eliot loved being a part of RUF while it relentlessly loved him, helped him pursue Jesus, and taught him how to peel crawfish. He is so excited to finally get to work with RUF, love students, pursue Christ, spread the gospel, and spend so many hours playing pickleball. Eliot is so glad he still gets to say "Go Dawgs!"

Eli (Whitten) Jones

Eli (Whitten) Jones

Intern

Eli is from Brandon, MS and graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Educational Psychology. Eli found RUF at MSU to be a safe place to learn, grow, and find community in college and is pumped to be a part of that same environment at UGA. She enjoys pickleball, reading a good Ann Patchett book, going on walks, and a lavender latte! Go Dawgs!
