RUF is here at UGA to meet students with the grace of Jesus right where they are and without leaving them stuck there.
Regardless of your beliefs or doubts, RUF is a place for you to explore Christianity and grow in your understanding of who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him in community with others at the University of Georgia. All are welcome!

Ben Coppedge
Ben is the Campus Minister at UGA RUF. He went to UGA and during the tail end of his undergrad years, God brought him to new life in Jesus. During his time in Athens, he also went to grad school, served as an RUF intern, and met Anna—his wife of 12 years. After living a few years in Philadelphia while attending seminary, he and Anna moved West and served students at New Mexico State University RUF for an unforgettable 4 and a half years. Anna and Ben share life and a boatload of chaos with their four energetic kiddos—Eli (10), Addie (9), Noah (7), and Evangeline (5). Ben’s here at UGA for you and would love to meet up! You can reach him at 706-372-4627 or Ben.Coppedge@ruf.org.

Caysie Ashton
Originally a midwesterner from Omaha, Nebraska, I still love sunsets and pop and straightforward conversations. In college, I got my first taste of the south when I attended University of Kentucky, where I learned to love sweet tea and basketball. I graduated in 2019 with degrees in Public Relations and Spanish, and moved even further south to Athens, Georgia to intern with RUF at the University of Georgia. I am in love with the gorgeous weather, and still learning to appreciate boiled peanuts. After two years of interning from 2019-2021, I transitioned to the role of Campus Staff in 2021. The students of UGA have my heart, and it's a joy to get to walk with them towards Jesus. May his glory be made more fully known in Athens and beyond. Go Cats and Go Dawgs!
Owen Osborne
Growing up in Greenville, North Carolina, Owen stayed in his hometown and attended East Carolina University where he got his degree in Business Marketing. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, watching sports, and working out. During his time in college, RUF was a place where Owen was met where he was and loved him even through all of his shortcomings. Even after being a lifelong Tennessee fan, Owen is super excited to serve at the Univeristy of Georgia and share the love of Christ he has experienced with the students in Athens. Over these next two years, Owen is hoping to further understand the gospel through the study program as well as experience personal growth in what Christianity looks like in adult life.
Ginger Vernon
Ginger is a Florida native who grew up in Tallahassee later moving to Tampa to attend The University of South Florida where she graduated with a degree in Biological Heath Science and Nutrition (Go Bulls!). The Lord used RUF at USF to show her what Christ-centered community looks like and to deepen her knowledge of Scripture and the beautiful reality of God's love for His people. Ginger felt a call to pursue ministry after spending her summers as a camp counselor and serving at RUF. If she isn't off backpacking, you'll probably find her at a coffee shop, playing pickleball, or baking chocolate chip cookies. She is so excited to see how the Lord will work in the hearts and lives of the students at The University of Georgia and is already ending every sentence with "Go Dawgs".
