Texas A&M University

Join us Wednesday nights at 8:00 PM in All Faiths Chapel

Howdy! Welcome to Texas A&M RUF. We are a campus ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) that welcomes students from any and all walks of life. Students from a wide variety of church and religious backgrounds are involved here at RUF. We are here for the "convinced" and the "unconvinced."

Our ministry is centered upon the person and work of Christ. We believe the Christian life is not primarily about what we do, but rather who we are. RUF is focused on helping students learn to live all of life in light of God's Word and his work on their behalf.

God created us to live in relationship with himself and our fellow man. Unfortunately sin has wrecked our lives and relationships. It is our desire to help students understand and apply the redemptive work of God in their lives. We want to show students how they are to live in relationship with God and one another.

Meet Our Team

Grant Carter

Grant Carter

Campus Associate

Grant is a College Station native! He went to Texas A&M and is class of 2019. While at A&M, Grant got involved in RUF at the beginning of his sophomore year and met his wife, Anne Michal. After graduating, Grant and Anne Michal moved to Mississippi and did the RUF internship at Mississippi State for 3 years. Afterwards, they moved to Jackson, MS, for Grant to attend seminary at RTS. While there, he also worked in youth ministry at First Presbyterian Church. Grant loves cooking dinner with his wife, reading all day, and watching Aggie football- even though the team brings him much heartache. He loves College Station and loves ministering to the students at Texas A&M!

Anne Michal Carter

Anne Michal Carter

Campus Staff

Anne Michal was born in Mississippi but traded one maroon for another when she moved from Starkville to College Station, Texas at age 8. She stayed in College Station for college, attending Texas A&M University where she majored in Kinesiology and met her husband Grant Carter. They then did the RUF internship together at Mississippi State before moving to Jackson in the summer of 2022 for Grant to get his MDIV from RTS Jackson and for Anne Michal to go on staff with RUF at MC. In her free time, she enjoys going on walks, drinking coffee, reading, playing any pick-up sport, and watching Braves baseball or Aggie football.

Emma Pearson

Emma Pearson

Intern

Emma was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, and moved to Georgia when entering middle school. She graduated from the University of Georgia (go dawgs!) with an AB in Theatre. Her best friend and roommate of two years introduced her to RUF, where RUF quickly became a home for Emma. There, she made her closest college friends and felt the freedom to experience the love of Christ fully, and grow into who He is making her to be. Though she will dearly miss UGA, she is so excited to see what the Lord has in store at Texas A&M!

In her free time, Emma will probably be watching reruns of anything Star Wars, drawing, or thrifting. She loves the city of London more than anywhere in the world, and is an avid lover of theatre and film. Most of all, Emma loves her friends and making new ones.
