Welcome to RUF Samford! We are a campus ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) that exists to reach students from all walks of life with the good news of the Gospel. We are here for the believer and the skeptic, the convinced and the unconvinced. Our mission is to be a safe community that wrestles together with the claims of God's Word and that equips students for a lifetime of loving Jesus and serving him wherever they are.
We'd love for you to jump in! Please reach out to us if you would like to know more. We would love to welcome you into RUF at Samford.

Meet Our Team

Ben Griffith
Ben is from Hattiesburg, MS, and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2008. He met his wife Rebecca through RUF while there, and both have had a deep love and appreciation for the ministry of RUF ever since. Rebecca is from Memphis and graduated from Ole Miss. Ben served on the staff of First Presbyterian Church of Hattiesburg from 2008 to 2019, as the youth minister and then associate pastor. From 2019 to 2023, he served as assistant pastor at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Franklin, TN. Ben and Rebecca have three kids: Margaret, Owen, and Libby.

Maggie Aldin
Maggie was born and raised in Athens, Georgia! Her love of Georgia football led her to the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!!). She graduated with a degree in Human Development and Family Science in 2019. After graduation, she moved to College Station, Texas, to work as an intern on the A&M campus. She enjoys coming alongside college students as they begin to navigate life on their own, and helping them find Christian community on campus. Maggie is excited to continue working with RUF as Campus Staff at Samford.
Maggie spends much of her free time on long walks with her dog Wren. They both are happiest outdoors! She enjoys cooking, especially anything involving sweet potatoes. Maggie is very competitive, but lacks the athletic ability to win most of the time. Lastly, she is on a mission to find the restaurant with the best veggie tacos!

Joy Harmon
I was born in Montgomery, AL, and lived there my whole life until college, where I attended Auburn University. I have had countless people pour into my life throughout college, and the Lord has used them to grow me in so many ways. So excited to walk alongside college students at Samford!
