Join us for Fellowship Night, Thursdays at 8:00 PM in SMC 24

RUF at Millersville is a campus ministry that strives to be a home for students as they navigate life in college. All are welcome, Christian and non-Christian, believer and skeptic, as we engage with the person and work of Jesus Christ and seek to live out His Gospel in our lives. We want to love God, love others, and love the "Ville," and we would love for you to join us!

Chris Peter

Chris Peter

Campus Minister

Chris grew up in Northern Virginia, was raised in a loving Christian home, and has known Jesus all his life. While in college at Virginia Tech, he got connected to the ministry of RUF, where he found amazing community and grew greatly in his faith in Christ. After graduating in 2015, he served for 2 years as an intern with RUF at NC State. He then went on to get his Masters of Divinity at Reformed Theological Seminary, Charlotte, from 2017-21, working with RUF at Winthrop University during his time there. While in seminary, he met Kelsey (originally from Hickory, NC, and a graduate of Western Carolina University) at RUF training, and after she finished her RUF internship at the University of Vermont, they got married in 2019. They have two daughters, Elliana and Emmaline, who love college students just as much as their mom and dad. Chris has been the campus minister at Millersville since June 2021.

Chris loves getting to pour the truth of the Gospel into college students' lives. He would love to grab a cup of coffee with you (or his real preference: tea), and chat about Jesus, theology, sports, board games, sci-fi/fantasy stories, reality TV, food, or really just about anything.

Larissa Kanz

Larissa Kanz

Fellow

Larissa grew up in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, close to beautiful Lake Michigan. She spent much time going to Milwaukee Brewers baseball games with her parents and younger brothers and visiting her family's cabin in the woods of Northern Wisconsin. Larissa graduated from Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi, with a degree in Biblical Studies and a minor in dance. During her time at Belhaven, RUF was her consistent community and a great source of encouragement. Larissa served as an RUF Intern at Millersville University in Lancaster Pennsylvania for two years. She loved getting to know students individually, hearing their stories, and encouraging them in their lives and faith. A highlight of the internship was leading women's Bible studies and watching students grow in their knowledge and love for God and His word through studying the Bible together.

Larissa now serves as a Ministry Fellow for RUF, working as an Intern Care Assistant. In this role, she gets to help equip and minister to Interns, encouraging and praying for them as they minister to students.
