Welcome to Reformed University Fellowship at Kansas State University! RUF has been active on campus since 2013 and has a vibrant group of those who are committed to Christ as well as those who are curious about the Christian faith. We have a number of different ways for you to get connected including small group Bible studies, large group, and social events. Regardless of your beliefs or doubts, RUF is a place for you to explore Christianity and grow in your understanding of who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him alongside others. We hope you'll come around, get to know us, and let us get to know you!

Meet Our Team

Jon Dunning

Jon Dunning

Campus Minister

Rev. Jon Dunning grew up in Neenah, Wisconsin, graduated from Miami University (Ohio, not Florida) with degrees in mathematics and secondary education, and received a Master of Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis.

While in seminary, he fell for a smart, beautiful, out-going engineer from St. Louis named Tricia and they were married in 1999. They have been blessed with three kids: Lucy (2004), Jack (2007), and Thad (2011). When he can find or make the time, Jon watches football and reads.

Jon served for over nine years as Associate Pastor at Oak Hills Presbyterian Church in Overland Park, Kansas. The Dunnings moved to Manhattan in August 2013 to start an RUF work at Kansas State. They are thrilled to serve college students through the gospel at “K-State.”

Alana Kelley

Intern

Alana grew up in several places, from Indiana to Chicago to Tennessee, where she graduated from Union University with a bachelor of science in accounting. While she began college pursuing a career in business, the Lord used her time at Union, especially her involvement in campus ministry and her internships with different churches, to open her eyes to a deep love for serving others and walking alongside students in their faith.

Alana loves being outdoors, especially hiking and doing anything active. She enjoys spending time with the people she loves and finds joy in any adventure when it’s shared with the company of her loved ones. Alana is thrilled to be serving as an Intern with RUF at Kansas State University. Though she did not previously participate in RUF as a student, she is eager to step into this new role and learn from the ministry’s heart for reaching college students. She is excited to see how God will work on the campus of Kansas State and is grateful for the opportunity to partner with others in reaching students for Christ.

Tyler Luehrs

Tyler Luehrs

Intern

Tyler Luehrs is a graduate of Wichita State University with a degree in Spanish. Tyler realized that he wanted to go into ministry three years into college, and he set his mind to learn and pour into others while he was still in school. Tyler did not have an RUF established in Wichita; however, he was involved in campus ministry through the Navigators. He became interested in RUF through his local pastor. While plugged in to his church in Wichita, he met Claire. They married on 6/21/25. Now they currently attend the local Presbyterian Church of America (PCA) church in Manhattan, Kansas.

In his free time, Tyler enjoys reading, playing sports, and spending quality time with friends. He also loves studying theology and learning fantastic new things the Lord has made. He has worked with RUF at K-State's campus since 2024. Tyler and Claire are always excited to meet any student in Manhattan, KS, and help them connect with Christ!
