Regardless of your beliefs or doubts, RUF at Davidson is a place for you to explore Christianity in community and grow in your understanding of who Jesus is and what it means to follow him. We gather weekly through large group meetings, small group bible studies, and individual meetings with our campus minister, intern(s), and fellow students to share life together and point one another toward Jesus.

Meet Our Team
Andrew Goyzueta
Rev. Andrew Goyzueta is a native of upstate New York and a graduate of Davidson College (2010, B.A. in Religion) and Covenant Theological Seminary (2014, M.Div.). He and his wife Amanda have two daughters, Emma and Cora, and a son, Miles. Outside of ministry, his interests include golf, running, walks with family, and good coffee, food, books, movies, and TV. If you are a Davidson student, prospective student, or parent, he would love to meet you!
Hannah Sandridge
Hannah was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. She is the oldest of three children and was raised in the faith. Hannah loves singing and playing the piano, playing games, and quality time with friends and family. Hannah has a B.S. in Elementary Education from James Madison University where she met her soon-to-be husband and co-intern, Timothy Sandridge, as well as where she first got involved with RUF. During her time in RUF as a student, Hannah got to see how the ministry is committed to bringing the love of Christ to college campuses. As she looks to her time at Illinois she is excited to build relationships with the students and encourage them in the study of God's unerring word!
Carter Hickel
Carter is a native of beautiful St. Louis, MO and a graduate of St. Louis University (2025, B.S. Meteorology). Initially interesting in growing closer to God by studying His Creation, Carter's plans took a turn when he found himself frustrated with his degree and deeply engrossed in RUF. By God's providence, many of Carter's friends suggested he take a step back from the sciences and instead pursue an internship with RUF. Now exploring a call to ministry, Carter is excited to spend the next few years at Davidson College in Charlotte, NC exploring the area, meeting with students, and seeing how God is at work on Davidson's campus.
In his spare time, Carter enjoys reading, movies, rock climbing, and the mountains but is most often found in a hammock or doing work in a coffee shop.
Mary Neill Lucas
Mary Neill grew up in Flat Rock, North Carolina, and graduated from Appalachian State University in May of 2022. As a daughter of a former campus minister, Mary Neill prayerfully considered following in her dad's footsteps as an RUF intern. Being apart of RUF at App State has helped her not only grow spiritually, but also enjoy deep and meaningful friendships. She is excited to explore this more at Davidson College!
Mary Neill loves going on long walks with friends, watercoloring, cooking, reading, and just being outside. She cannot wait to explore Davidson and build friendships with the students at Davidson. While she will always be a Mountaineer (Roll Neers!) she is excited to be a Wildcat!
