Columbus State University

Welcome to RUF at Columbus State! We seek to be a community of students on campus seeking to love God and love our neighbor. Our goal is to help CSU students come to understand, know, and follow Jesus Christ as they walk through their college years.

Jesus said that he did not come to save the righteous, but sinners. At RUF, we do not wish to pretend to have it all together. We are people in need of grace. Consequently, all are welcome to be part of our group, regardless of personal or religious background. RUF exists for the "convinced" and the "unconvinced," the lost, the found, the burned, bored, cynical, or spiritual. Whoever you are and whatever your story, RUF at CSU exists for you.

Meet Our Team

Tim Grider

Tim Grider

Campus Minister

Tim and Anna are excited to work with RUF at Columbus State! Tim was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama, and attended Mississippi State University where he was first introduced to RUF. Tim and Anna both served as RUF interns, which is actually where they first met. Anna grew up in Hickory, North Carolina, and graduated from Appalachian State University. Tim spent five years working with students at Faith Presbyterian Church in Brookhaven, Mississippi, while attending Reformed Theological Seminary. They have two children: Faye (born August 2021) and Jack (born March 2023). Tim enjoys good music, any kind of grilled meat, and college sports.

Kenyatta Ward

Kenyatta Ward

Intern

Kenyatta graduated from Mercer University with a degree in Religion. During his junior year, he sensed a clear calling to ministry and, through the Lord's leading, began interning with Reformed University Fellowship (RUF). He is now excited to serve alongside Pastor Tim Grider at Columbus State University, where he looks forward to deepening his faith and growing in ministry. Kenyatta takes great joy in being a servant of Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior, and is committed to following the guidance of the Holy Spirit. His greatest desire as an intern is to honor and please his Heavenly Father.
