Meet Our Team

Daniel Hightower
A native of Alabama, Daniel comes to Clemson having served at Jacksonville State University since 2017. Before joining RUF staff, he served as an Assistant Pastor in Ft Payne, AL. Daniel is a graduate of Troy University, where he met his wife, Courtney. Married since 2009, the Hightowers have four children: Naomi (2013), twins Rebekah and Cole (2016), and Sam (2020). The Hightowers are excited to be ministering at Clemson University. Go Tigers!

Emily Cartledge
Emily spent her childhood in Iowa, before moving to Peachtree City, Georgia, which she considers home. She graduated from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) in 2020 with a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and was heavily involved in RUF during her time there. After graduation, she felt called to pursue ministry, and served as an intern with RUF at JMU (Go Dukes!) for two years and continued to serve as Campus Staff at JMU from 2022-2025. She is excited to continue working as Campus Staff at Clemson University (Go Tigers!), especially as it will allow her to enjoy good, southern football again! Emily is currently ~slowly~ pursuing her Masters in Counseling, and in her free time, she can be found reading a good book, hanging at a local coffee shop, or jamming in the kitchen as she cooks or bakes her latest treat. She is a sucker for a good caramel iced coffee, and a lover of all forms of potatoes. Most of all, Emily is a lover of both Jesus and people, and she is always down for a heartfelt or theological conversation, so be sure to hit her up for either!

Elizabeth Fortune
Elizabeth moved from Colorado to Tennessee with her mom and three brothers when she was in elementary school. She graduated from Tennessee Tech with a degree in Sociology in 2023. Elizabeth was a part of RUF throughout college, during which she learned how in need she was of Jesus and His love. Elizabeth is excited to have the opportunity to open the Gospel and show students the same love she received in undergrad!

Sean Morris
Sean grew up in the PCA church in Southeast and Northeast Florida with his three brothers. He started at a private school in Fort Lauderdale, and when his family moved to Jacksonville, he went to public school for high school. He graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a bachelor's degree in construction management. Through RUF at FGCU, Sean grew in knowledge of the Word, grace, and faith. He led small groups, planned and hosted events, and learned how to walk alongside others in faith. Sean was so heavily impacted by RUF that he wants to work with them for the next two years as an intern! Some hobbies he enjoys include pickleball, fishing, hunting, hiking, and anything outdoorsy. He's thrilled to bring his passion for ministry to Clemson and is excited to see how the Lord works in and through him. Go Tigers!
