Meet Our Team
Reid and Kelli Jones, together with their girls, Lucy and Jordan, moved from north Alabama to Clemson in the summer of 2017… because they’re the biggest bandwagon fans of all time. They are excited to join an exciting and thriving community, both on and off the campus.
Reid and Kelli met while attending Troy University (Go Trojans!) and they were married in 2005. Reid received his Masters of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS) in Charlotte in 2010. Before moving to Clemson, Reid was the RUF Campus Minister at the University of Alabama in Huntsville for five years, and he served as an assistant pastor in Utah before that.
The Lord has used RUF to reach and equip Clemson students for nearly 35 years. Reid and Kelli are thrilled to be a part of reaching the next generation of Clemson students, and continuing to minister in this fantastic community!
Peter grew up in a small town called Lexington, VA. After graduating from high school, he attended Randolph-Macon College where he received my bachelor's degree in Business Management. Shortly after Peter graduated, he moved to Charlotte, NC to attend Reformed Theological Seminary in pursuit of his Masters Degree in Biblical Studies.
He recently got married to his beautiful wife, Sam, who he met in Charlotte, and they have a 4 year old black lab named Minnie. They are excited to be a part of the Clemson RUF family.
Jennifer Kent has spent the last three years working as the RUF Intern at The University of Alabama in Huntsville, alongside Campus Minister, Reid Jones. Jenn got connected to RUF through her Intern when she transferred to Kennesaw State University her sophomore year. She so enjoyed being pursued by her Intern that she wanted to do the same thing for other girls. Throughout college she volunteered for her church's youth group and decided that the RUF Internship was where God was calling her next. Jenn loved the internship so much that she decided that she wanted to do RUF Campus Staff and is super excited to serve and love the girls of Clemson.
In 2014 Jenn graduated with a BA Degree in Dance with a concentration in Ballet. While Jenn is no longer dancing, movement is still a part of her life (RUF dance parties are her jam). When she’s not hanging out with students or friends, she enjoys taking Yoga and Pilates Classes. She also loves hiking, or just walking in general. She also enjoys watching baseball (even on TV), but is always glad to attend any sporting event. When Jenn’s not trying to get in her Fitbit steps, you might find her watching The West Wing or Friends on Netflix.
Sam, or better known as “Spanky,” is a native of Lexington, South Carolina. She graduated from Wofford College in 2019 with a degree in Government concentrated in American politics and German. Her semester spent studying language and culture in Freiburg, Germany helped her to realize the importance of living out and sharing the Gospel with others. Spanky loves spending her free time painting, reading, drinking coffee, playing volleyball, and watching basketball. She hopes to one day own her very own a coffee shop in a southern collegiate town. Spanky is so thrilled to have the opportunity to serve and love the women of Clemson’s campus!
Beck is from Macon, Georgia. He graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2020 with a degree in Health and Physical Education. He was involved with RUF during his entire time at Georgia Southern. It quickly became a place the Lord used to cultivate gospel community and deeper love for Jesus. Beck loves basketball, black coffee, soul music, and every type of food. He looks forward to serving and loving the students at Clemson.
