California State University Long Beach

Caleb was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. While in college, Caleb joined RUF where God deepened his appreciation and understanding of the work and person of Jesus Christ. After graduating from Texas Christian University, he moved to Baton Rouge to work with RUF at Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers).

After working with RUF at LSU, Caleb moved to D.C. with his wife, Amanda, to start seminary and work in the church. In May 2025, Caleb graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary's DC campus with a Master of Divinity. As well, Caleb and Amanda welcomed their first child, Judah, in May 2025. The Jakana family is excited to be in Long Beach and meet with students!

In Caleb's free time, you can find him doing all things sports (How bout them Cowboys!), reading, eating good food, or watching a movie.
