RUF exists to reach Brown and RISD students with the gospel of Jesus Christ and equip them to serve the church for a lifetime. We uphold the Bible as the Word of God and believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to transform lives. Students from all different backgrounds are welcome here, including those who are already followers of Jesus and those who just want to learn more!

Travis Hutchinson
Travis was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and Charlotte, North Carolina. He went to Covenant College in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he played tennis and graduated with a degree in Economics in 2016. From there, he spent three years in the corporate world working in finance and tech. Travis felt the Lord calling him to seminary in the spring of 2019, and he moved back to St. Louis to study at Covenant Theological Seminary. He holds a Masters of Divinity from CTS and has been working with RUF at Brown & RISD since the fall of 2022!

Kedrick Condie
Kedrick Condie grew up in California and Colorado before moving to Georgia to study architecture and entrepreneurship at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). His love for creativity extends into many spheres, including sketching, painting, music, writing, and film. During his time at SCAD, RUF offered him a compelling vision of Christian community and helped shape his understanding of God’s good design for work and creation. This formative experience of God’s grace sparked Kedrick's desire to walk alongside students as they explore their faith within a secular college environment. He is excited to begin ministry at Brown/RISD, where he looks forward to getting to know students, engaging their diverse interests, and encouraging them in their journeys.

Susanna Johnson
Susanna did most of her growing up in Oklahoma City with her parents and two brothers. She graduated from the University of Georgia (go dawgs!) with degrees in French and journalism. God used RUF in huge ways during her time at UGA, providing her with rich Christian community, lifelong friends, strong teaching, and a deepened love for Jesus. In her spare time, Susanna loves to read, travel, ride her horse, and have good conversation over good coffee!
