Way Rutherford

Way Rutherford

Campus Minister

Way was born and raised in Meridian, MS, and attended Ole Miss (University of Mississippi) from 1996-2000. After graduation, Way worked for three years at Christ Presbyterian Church in Oxford with junior and senior high. Way married Amy Davis in 2002 and they moved to Jackson, MS, to attend Reformed Theological Seminary and work with senior high students at First Presbyterian. After graduation in May of 2007, Way and Amy moved to Louisville, KY, to begin RUF at the University of Louisville. In KY, the family grew to include Miles (2008), Davis (2010), and Lucy (2013). In June of 2014, the Rutherfords moved to Waco, TX, to do RUF at Baylor University.

Lauren Danforth

Lauren Danforth

Campus Staff

Lauren grew up in Sheboygan, Wisconsin (also known as the Malibu of the Midwest). From 2019-2023, she attended Liberty University, where she graduated with a B.S. in Music and minors in Women’s Leadership and Theology. In Lauren’s time at Liberty, God brought RUF into her life and used it to teach her that his grace and love in Christ are not for those who are perfect, but for those who know they need him. Lauren moved to Waco in 2023 to serve as an RUF intern at Baylor. Two years was not nearly long enough at Baylor, so Lauren is thrilled to be staying to serve as Campus Staff! Some of her favorite things are taking long walks outside, playing pickleball, watching sports, wandering through grocery stores, and baking cakes.

Will Won

Intern

Will grew up in Belton, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 2025 with a degree in civil engineering and worked as an Aviation Project Engineer in Dallas for a year before beginning his Internship. The highlight of his college years was serving in college ministry, where he met his closest friends and made lasting memories. During his final two years at Texas A&M, he became involved with RUF, where he grew to love the ministry and felt called to pursue serving as an Intern.

Will enjoys college football, reading, working out, spending time outdoors, listening to audiobooks, and being with friends. He is grateful that the Lord has placed him at Baylor RUF and is excited to join in the work God is doing on campus.
