RUF Coordinator Search Committee Update

Dear Friends,

As you may know, RUF’s National Coordinator, Will Huss, has announced his intention to step down from his role in June of this year. Since sharing that news, we have been hard at work implementing a process to find his successor.

Last fall the RUF Permanent Committee elected a search committee to do the important job of seeking God’s wisdom in finding RUF’s next Coordinator. We wanted to reach out to you today to update you about our progress.

The committee began by gathering feedback and insight from RUF staff and community members to help create a job description and establish the application process, which is now open to all qualified candidates. RUF has a strong and growing foundation of Gospel-centered ministry on college campuses worldwide, and we look forward to what God has in store for the next leader who steps into this vital and exciting role.

RUF is looking for a visionary leader, shepherd, and executive to guide this ministry into its next season. To lead RUF well, the Coordinator must have a deep love for Jesus Christ, a vision for college students as the future of the Church, and the strategic ability to navigate organizational and denominational dynamics. Will Huss recently shared this insight into his experience in the role: “It has been one of the most remarkable experiences of my life to have a front-row seat and see the mission of RUF continue to be fulfilled in reaching students for Christ and equipping them to serve on college campuses around the world.”

As part of RUF’s community, we invite you to learn more about the Coordinator role and our application process. We will continue to receive applications through the end of January, after which the search committee will begin interviews.

Please join us in praying for God’s guidance throughout this important process and for RUF’s next Coordinator.

In Christ,

Josh Martin on behalf of the RUF Coordinator Search Committee

RUF Permanent Committee Chairman
