New Director of Cross-Cultural Advancement

Reformed University Fellowship is pleased to announce the Reverend Russ Whitfield has accepted the role of Director of Cross-Cultural Advancement. This part-time position will be directed toward recruiting and training minority staff and helping the cross-cultural formation of RUF’s organizational culture. Russ will also serve as Area Coordinator to RUF campuses in New York City.

A native of Western Pennsylvania and a graduate of New York University, Russ serves as Pastor of Grace Mosaic in Washington DC, where he lives with his wife Vanessa and their four children, Tiana, Elijah, Lorenzo, and the recently arrived Charissa.

“I am very excited for the opportunity to serve RUF in its mission to advance the gospel for the ‘healing of the nations’,” Russ said of his new role with RUF.  “I believe that RUF’s greatest contribution to the work of God’s kingdom is ahead of us and I look forward to working with the faithful men and women of RUF to see the transforming grace of God at work on the campus and in the church.”

Tom Cannon, National Coordinator of RUF commented, “I am thrilled Russ will be joining us in this new role. As our commitment to the core mission and philosophy of ministry of RUF remains steadfast, Russ will help us adapt these to our growing need to serve a university world and wider culture which is increasingly diverse and complex. I look forward to having Russ as a friend and colleague in this ministry.”
