Welcome to RUF at Northwestern! We are a community at NU committed to considering the good news of Jesus together. Regardless of your beliefs, RUF is a safe place to ask questions, voice doubts and explore Christianity with other students at Northwestern.
Luke and Janet have three kids: Hudson (7), Samuel (3), and Annie (1). They have lived in Evanston since 2009 when Luke began seminary at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Before attending Trinity, Luke studied philosophy at Mizzou, led backpacking trips in Colorado (where he met Janet), spent a year in Kenya as a missionary intern (where he climbed a few more mountains), and served for three years at a church in Missouri as the Director of Student Ministries (where there are no mountains). Luke enjoys a good book and a good bike ride. He considers himself a triathlete, with very little evidence to back that up.
Mike George grew up in Allentown, PA and first joined RUF at Penn State University, where he received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. After the internship, Mike wants to explore a career in ministry with RUF where he hopes to continue to cultivate his social skills, curb his sartorial ineptitude, and know the Lord more. Mike enjoys identifying with George Michael of Arrested Development, eating cereal, and sitting.
