Andrew Rein
Andrew Rein was called to serve as the RUF Coordinator in 2025. Andrew has been a Ruling Elder at Hilton Head Presbyterian Church (HHPC) since 2010.
Andrew’s connection to RUF began at Vanderbilt University, where he graduated with a B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering. At Vanderbilt RUF, his understanding of the Gospel fell into place, he developed a biblical worldview where faith impacts everything, and he met his wife, Holly, and many of their lifelong friends.
Most of Andrew’s professional career was in telecommunications, most notably at Access Spectrum and Hargray. At Access Spectrum, he was part of the team working with the Federal Communications Commission to make the Upper 700 MHz frequency band more useful for critical infrastructure entities like utilities and railroads. In his 14 years at Hargray, he was responsible for sales and marketing before serving as Chief Financial Officer until the sale of Hargray to Cable One in 2021.
Most recently, Andrew served on staff at HHPC as Interim Ministry Director, developing a long-term strategic plan that aligns HHPC’s ministry and mission: to multiply the worship, renewal, and community of Jesus to the people and places of the Lowcountry in South Carolina. He also developed HHPC’s Partners ministry, which today partners with several local, regional, and international ministries, including four local RUF ministries.
Andrew and Holly have been married since 2001, and have four children: Peter, Ellie, Sarah Grace, and Benjamin. They enjoy many outdoor activities, including soccer, golf, pickleball, fishing, and boating. Andrew is also an avid fan of Liverpool Football Club.
