RUF at W&M is a community of students that exists to love and serve the College of William and Mary. Our goal is to help students come to understand, know, and follow Jesus Christ as they walk through their college years, and to help lay a foundation for a lifetime of following Jesus and serving him in all areas of life. We're here for the campus-for students from any religious background and students who have no religious background at all. Whoever you are and whatever your story, RUF is for you.

Meet Our Team
Ben Robertson
Ben is originally from Alabama but married into the Commonwealth. His wife Dawn is from Chester, Va, and all 4 of their children were born in Williamsburg. After graduating from seminary in 2006, Ben and Dawn moved to William & Mary and have loved serving the College ever since. Ben loves coffee, sports (particularly college football), grilling, and hanging out on campus, usually around the Sunken Gardens or the Terrace. He may actually be there right now, so if you see him say hello!
Sarah Blake
Sarah grew up in a small town in Texas and graduated from SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) with a BFA in Industrial Design. While she was focusing on humanitarian needs and solving meaningful problems in her design work, God opened her heart to ministry. After completing the RUF Internship at SCAD, Sarah was more convinced than ever of the value of ministry on campus and transitioned to serving as Campus Staff. After marrying Josh in March 2026, Sarah relocated from Georgia to Virginia and is thrilled to continue in ministry with RUF at William & Mary.
