Welcome to RUF at the University of Tulsa (TU)! RUF has been active on campus since 2000 and has a vibrant group of both those who are committed to Christ as well as those who are curious about the Christian faith. We have a number of different ways to get involved on campus, and we encourage you to head to to look around a bit more.

Bethany Ekdom

Bethany Ekdom

Campus Staff

Bethany grew up in Allen, Texas and graduated in 2017 from Texas A&M University (whoop!). While her degree in School Health gave her a deep passion for health education, throughout college she always thought of the RUF internship as a total dream job. After being proven right through her three years of interning at the University of Tulsa, Bethany felt called to continue serving through RUF Tulsa as Campus Staff! Rock climbing, hiking, board games, road trips, live music, and watching and making movies are a few things she enjoys. She is grateful God has called her to such an amazing city, and considers it a great privilege to be a part of God's work by loving and serving the students of TU.

Hannah Murphy

Hannah Murphy

Hannah grew up in Jenks, Oklahoma, and graduated in 2021 from The University of Tulsa with a degree in Mathematics. She didn’t grow up as a Christian, but the RUF staff and community at TU quickly showed her the grace and love of Jesus. By the end of her freshman year, she had a relationship with Him and a love for her RUF community. After graduating, Hannah spent a year working as a software developer but felt a deep desire to return to RUF and do ministry full-time. She is so excited to pursue freshmen at her alma mater alongside the staff that loved her so well when she was a student. Hannah met her husband, Brennan, through RUF at TU, and they have been married since May of 2021. She loves long walks by the river, playing sports and board games, frequenting Tulsa’s coffee shops, and having meals with friends.
