Trip Beans

Trip Beans

Campus Minister

Trip is the Campus Minister at UMBC. He is a peculiar combination of way past his prime athlete and nerd. Trip loves almost all sports and competition with specific interests in soccer, baseball (especially the Baltimore Orioles) and football (especially the Ravens). He is up to play just about anything from backyard whiffle ball to a table top game. He has also been collecting comic books since he was 12 years old. Trip is married to Joy and they have three kids.

Joy Beans

Joy Beans

Campus Staff

Joy has been a full time mom, part time volunteer in ministry since she and Trip married in 1999. She has worked with middle school, high school and college students, in women’s ministry and peacemaking. She is currently pursuing her certification in Christian Conciliation and as of June 1st, 2018 is officially campus staff with RUF!

She has the incredible ability to get lost in Target, Whole Foods and any town she’s ever visited (or lives in). She loves reading, hanging out with students, making her 3 kids laugh hysterically and soy chai lattes. She and Trip have been in Lancaster, PA with RUF since 2013.

Ruth Wilmot

Ruth Wilmot

Campus Staff

Ruth Wilmot was born and raised in Columbia, Maryland. She attended the University of Mary Washington, graduating with a degree in Latin. During her time there, she competed on the equestrian team and was a leader in her college ministry. After graduation, she worked as a paralegal for three years before being called to ministry at RUF at UMBC. In her free time, Ruth loves horseback riding, hiking, reading, and traveling. She’s excited to be walking alongside women at her campus and sharing life together!

Titus Dubs

Titus Dubs

Intern

Titus, one of ten, grew up in York, PA, where he graduated from high school. When he was 17 years old, immediately after coming home from senior week, the Lord began to work in his heart, powerfully leading him to return to the faith he had known in childhood. After school, not knowing what to do, he worked for a friend's startup restaurant until he was invited to work with youth at a Christian Camp in Manchester, Maryland. After one summer, he joined their year-long internship program, and after completing that, he was hired full-time on staff. While learning camp work, he attended Metro Baltimore Seminary for a Bachelor of Theology, which he will graduate with in May 2025. Titus is easily excited by learning; he enjoys walks in the woods, reading, singing, writing, meeting with friends, and discussing the goodness of God in Christ!
