Join us every other Thursday at 7pm in Chemistry Annex 1024

Welcome to RUF at Illinois! We are a Christian campus ministry that seeks to reach college students for Christ and equip them to serve. We want RUF to be a place for both skeptics and believers to engage with the teaching of the Bible, experience the love of Jesus, and grow in community with one another.

Ethan Brown

Ethan Brown

Campus Minister

Ethan was born and raised in South Florida and attended the University of Florida, where he met his wife Amanda. Following graduation, he served as an RUF intern at Duke University. In 2018, the Browns moved to Charlotte, NC where Ethan attended Reformed Theological Seminary. In 2021, the Browns moved to Champaign-Urbana to begin working with RUF at Illinois. Ethan is excited to get to know students and to help them get to know King Jesus. The Browns have a son, Judah, and daughter, Ellis. Ethan loves to drink craft coffee, read a good book, watch Netflix, and play just about any sport with a round ball. You can contact Ethan by calling or texting him at 954.826.6994 or by emailing him at ethan.brown@ruf.org.

Tim Sandridge

Tim Sandridge

Intern

Tim was born and raised in Charlottesville, Virginia, as the youngest of five. He attended James Madison University where he majored in Religion and minored in Classical Studies. At JMU, Tim got involved in RUF, where he found a community of God-loving Christians who pushed him to grow in his walk with the Lord. Since 17 years old, Tim has felt the call to pursue a life of full-time ministry for the Lord and his time in RUF at JMU has continued to confirm that calling. He hopes that his time at Illinois will continue to do that, but ultimately bring glory to God and good to those around him.

Hannah (Weippert) Sandridge

Hannah (Weippert) Sandridge

Intern

Hannah was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. She is the oldest of three children and was raised in the faith. Hannah loves singing and playing the piano, playing games, and quality time with friends and family. Hannah has a B.S. in Elementary Education from James Madison University where she met her soon-to-be husband and co-intern, Timothy Sandridge, as well as where she first got involved with RUF. During her time in RUF as a student, Hannah got to see how the ministry is committed to bringing the love of Christ to college campuses. As she looks to her time at Illinois she is excited to build relationships with the students and encourage them in the study of God's unerring word!
