Colson was born in Alaska and grew up in Durango, Colorado. He has always been an avid outdoor enthusiast, loving anything one can do outside. He attended Grove City College and graduated with his B.S. in Social Work in 2021. A week after graduating he married his better half and wonderful wife, Emma, who he met on the second day of class their freshman year of college. They moved to Charlotte where he attended and got his MDiv from Reformed Theological Seminary. He and Emma are beyond grateful for the call and opportunity to plant RUF International at the University of Illinois. With close to 13,000 international students, it is fertile ground for spreading the good news of Jesus Christ and expanding the Kingdom of God with people from all over the world. Colson and Emma love gardening, reading, watching hockey, and eating donuts. Emma is currently pregnant with their first daughter who is due in November 2026.
