Welcome to RUF International (RUFI) at UCF! As a student organization at UCF, we exist for three main reasons. First, we exist to WELCOME students and scholars from all over the world. We hope that RUFI is a place where those who are far from home can find a new home as they are loved by the RUFI community. Second, we exist to EXPLORE the good news of Jesus with anyone who is interested. We hope to do this by creating a safe environment where people from all religious backgrounds can come with their questions, objections, and doubts about the God of the Bible. Lastly, we exist to EQUIP Christian international students to faithfully serve God. We hope to do this by studying the Bible together and connecting students with the local church.

Meet Our Team
Austin Slater
Austin was born and raised in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He graduated from James Madison University, where he met his wife, Jessi, through his involvement with RUF. After a short stint working with RUF International in Atlanta, the Slaters moved to Orlando to study at Reformed Theological Seminary. Austin and Jessi have two kids, Brooks and Evelyn. If given a free day, you'd likely find Austin spending time with his family, playing sports, exploring local ethnic restaurants, or yelling at a TV screen as his favorite sports teams disappoint him yet again.
