Join us Thursday nights at 7:30 in Heritage Hall Room 125
Thanks for checking out RUF at UAB! We are a fellowship of students who desire to enjoy God, to equip God's people through the college years, and to extend God's grace. We strive to be a safe place where people from all different walks of life can come to find community, enjoy friendship, and to consider the words of Jesus Christ. We look forward to meeting you!

Meet Our Team
Brad Owens is married to his wonderful wife, Anna, and they have three beautiful children: Haddie, Ella Kate, and Caleb. Brad graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in 2012, and then from Covenant Seminary in 2017. Before becoming an RUF Campus Minister, Brad was the Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Youth for 5 years at Blythewood Presbyterian Church in Blythewood, SC.
Brad enjoys reading, swimming, running, good food, and spending time with Anna and the kiddos, as well as the always-satisfying bowl of ice cream!
Amy is a graduate of Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA where she received her degree in Middle Grades Education. After teaching in Birmingham for a few years, she taught missionary kids in rural western Uganda with World Harvest Mission (now Serge). In 2011, Amy joined RUF and worked with RUF at Samford University for three years. In 2014 she moved to start RUF at Meredith College, a women's college in Raleigh, NC. In 2019 she returned to Birmingham with RUF at UAB.
She loves many things in her life including: cooking at home, being with friends, listening to podcasts, traveling, and reading. Some of her favorite things include her dog Jasper, being outdoors, planting things, working on house projects, and watching documentaries. Amy is grateful God has called her to UAB and considers it a great privilege to be a part of God's work on that campus.
