Queens University

Join us Wednesdays @ 10:40am in Belk Chapel Rotunda for our weekly meeting!

Whatever your background or beliefs, all Queens students are welcome at RUF! We are a Christian ministry where students can explore questions, encounter Jesus’ love, experience belonging, and be equipped to serve.

If you have questions or want to get involved, please email our campus minister or an intern, and we’ll be in touch!

Meet Our Team

Josh Grimm

Josh Grimm

Campus Minister

Josh is from Charleston, SC and graduated from Erskine College (where he was involved with RUF as a student) in 2009 with a BA in Bible/Religion and Philosophy. In 2010 he met his now wife, Ashley, who works as a pediatric nurse. After marrying in 2012, Josh and Ashley moved to Charlotte where Josh graduated from RTS Charlotte with an MDiv in 2015. Josh and Ashley have a son, Isaac, and three daughters, Ruby, Eliza, and Charlotte. Among the many aspects of campus ministry he enjoys are meeting up with students to talk about life over coffee or a meal, and playing a competitive game of spikeball!

Nick DeVusser

Nick DeVusser

Intern

Nick grew up in Johnson City, TN where he met his wife, Sarah. He studied Exercise Science at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City. After the RUF internship, Nick hopes to go to RTS in Charlotte with plans to get an MDiv and eventually be an RUF Campus Minister.

If he is not working out, reading theology, spending time with his wife, or playing with his dog, he is probably rewatching The Office for the 900th time.

Emily Jacob

Emily Jacob

Intern

Emily is from Mechanicsville, Virginia, and graduated from James Madison University in 2021 with a degree in Business Management. While at JMU, she was involved with RUF and experienced the gift of Christian community and the joy of studying God’s word. After graduation, Emily went to work as a Federal Consultant for IBM. The Lord graciously used that year to grow her in dependence on Christ and a deeper understanding of God’s grace. Emily is so excited to be at Queens to learn and grow in relationship with others!
Fun facts about Emily: she LOVES being outside, working out and she’s looking forward to challenging her CM in a competitive game of spikeball.
