Meet Our Team
Josh Grimm
Josh is from Charleston, SC, and graduated from Erskine College (where he was involved with RUF as a student) in 2009 with a BA in Bible/Religion and Philosophy. He worked for a bank in collections from 2009-12 in Lumberton, NC. In 2010 Josh met Ashley at a wedding, and they married in 2012. That year they moved to Charlotte for Josh to go to seminary while Ashley began working as a nurse. Josh graduated from RTS Charlotte with an MDiv in 2015, and - after another year of working in collections -started RUF at Queens in 2016. Ashley and Josh have five children: Isaac ('16), Ruby ('18), Eliza ('19), Charlotte ('21), and Peter ('23).
When not spending time with Ashley and the kids, Josh enjoys playing tennis, running, reading, listening to jazz, and keeping up with Atlanta Braves baseball and College of Charleston men's basketball. Among the many aspects of campus ministry Josh enjoys are meeting with students to talk about life over coffee or a meal, and playing a competitive game of spikeball!
Emily Jacob
Emily is from Mechanicsville, Virginia, and graduated from James Madison University in 2021 with a degree in Business Management. While at JMU, she was involved with RUF and experienced the gift of Christian community and the joy of studying God’s word. After graduation, Emily went to work as a Federal Consultant for IBM. The Lord graciously used that year to grow her in dependence on Christ and a deeper understanding of God’s grace. Emily is so excited to be at Queens to learn and grow in relationship with others!
Fun facts about Emily: she LOVES being outside, working out and she’s looking forward to challenging her CM in a competitive game of spikeball.
Matt McMillan
Matt grew up In Martin, TN. and attended Belhaven University in Jackson, MS, getting a degree in Business Administration. Matt came to know the Lord during his time at Belhaven, and the Lord showed him how important community was through the community with RUF. Matt loves sports and is also looking forward to a competitive game of spikeball with my campus minister and my co-intern.
