RUF is excited to start a new ministry at NC State--RUF-International.
RUF-I gladly welcomes any international students at State no matter where you're from or what you believe. We believe Jesus welcomes all to come and hear the good news of the Gospel, which is public truth for the whole world.
We meet weekly while classes are in session for a free Dinner and Bible Discussion at E.S. King Village Community Center at 6:30pm on Wednesdays. Matt and Hilary would love to welcome you to NC State with a warm meal or hot cup of chai. Please reach out via email, or visit us on Wednesday nights.

Matt Vanderworp
Matt and Hilary Vanderworp, along with their daughter, Ayla, are dedicated to serving international students. Matt is excited to build a strong community for RUF-I at NC State. With God's help, Matt is ready to follow God's call to help others learn about Jesus and foster a loving community at NC State.
A graduate in Music Education from the University of Houston, Matt discovered his passion for ministry within the welcoming RUF community. His subsequent work with graduate students deepened his commitment to serving internationals. He is excited to welcome these world-class scholars into his home and meet their needs, as Jesus met his.
Matt and Hilary love to cook, bake, brew a good cup of coffee, and go on adventures with Ayla and their pup, Barney. Matt also loves to run, bike, play soccer, and make music in his spare time. Hilary loves playing tennis, gardening, going on walks, and exploring the many garden spaces in Raleigh.
If you are a student at NC State or interested in supporting our ministry, we would love to have you over for a cup of coffee or tea and welcome you to Raleigh. Let's get in touch!
