Welcome to RUF at the UNAM in Mexico City, the largest university in Latin America, in one of the largest cities in the world! RUF at the UNAM, also known as "CUR" (sounds like "coor"), has been reaching students with the gospel and equipping them to serve since 2005!

We love God and we love UNAM students! We openly embrace the curious, the skeptic, the convinced and the unconvinced as part of this community of friends that encourage one another in love and knowledge of the great news of Jesus Christ. Come, and see! We would love to meet you!

Meet Our Team

Barush Sanchez

Campus Minister

Barush grew up in a Christian family, the son of a pastor and church planter. Barush has felt God’s calling to serve young people since he was a teenager, and before joining RUF served as a youth minister to students from the National Presbyterian Church and to university students through another campus ministry. Together with his wife Lanu, Barush has been working with youth now for many years.

Barush holds a degree in Law from the UNAM, and a degree in Theology from the Presbyterian Seminary in Mexico City. He loves playing rock music with his band, as well as basketball, bike riding, and eating sushi! Barush also loves spending time with students and making them laugh.
