Meet Our Team
Daniel was born and raised in Troy, Alabama. He attended Troy University where he studied Spanish and met his wife, Courtney. They married in 2009 and moved to Birmingham where Daniel earned a Master of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School in 2014. Following this, he began serving as the assistant pastor at Grace Presbyterian Church in Fort Payne, Alabama mainly working with middle school and high school students. Daniel and Courtney have 4 children: Naomi (2013), twins Rebekah and Cole (2016), and Sam (2020)--plus Jack the Dog. The Hightowers are excited to be ministering to the Jacksonville State students. Go Gamecocks!
Elizabeth moved from Colorado to Tennessee with her mom and three brothers when she was in elementary school. She graduated from Tennessee Tech with a degree in Sociology in 2023. She has been a part of RUF for four years, during which she learned how in need she was of Jesus and His love. Elizabeth is excited to have the opportunity to open the Gospel and show JSU students the same love she received in undergrad!
