Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) is a Christian ministry at Florida Gulf Coast University. RUF exists to reach students for Christ and equip them to serve.
You don’t have to be a Christian to come to RUF. RUF is a place where every student, regardless of their background or personal beliefs, can examine the truths of biblical Christianity in ways that are plausible to the skeptic and life-changing for the believer. All are welcome!
RUF meets on campus Tuesday nights for worship and Bible study, and in small groups throughout the week. We go on retreats and mission trips, and have social events and do service projects. Being involved in RUF is a great way to grow in your faith, search for answers, and find community. We’d love to meet you, so come check us out!

Lucas Tanner
Lucas was born and raised in Naples, Florida. He met his wife Bobbilee while studying business at the University of Florida. They got married in November 2004 and have three children: Isaac, Sadie and Molly. Lucas earned a Master of Divinity from Knox Theological Seminary and has been a minister to students for 20 years.

Luke Wilkerson
Luke Wilkerson grew up in Greenwood, Indiana. He went to school at Florida Gulf Coast University, where he completed his bachelor's in Software Engineering. RUF transformed Luke's life and college experience, showing him what it meant to be a follower of Christ. RUF was a place where Luke could learn about his God-given gifts and discern a calling to use them in full-time vocational ministry. The main highlight of his RUF college career was meeting his wife Kea his freshman year at RUF's fall conference and having their RUF FGCU campus ministry (Lucas Tanner) officiate their wedding.
While Luke is serving as FSU's RUF intern, Kea will be completing her Master's of Fine Arts at FSU. Besides his RUF romantic endeavors, Luke loved reaching the unreached for Christ and leading bible studies on "less" popular books of the Bible. When Luke wasn't serving RUF in the summers, he would work for Covenant Life PCA as their youth ministry intern and work on his pastoral internship requirements for his presbytery. A memorable experience was preaching for the first time at his home church, Oak River PCA, for the RUF graduation celebration service, where they ran out of chairs for their Sunday service! In his free time, he loves to play pickleball, video games on the PC he built, hit the gym, and read a good theology book on the beach.

Noah Brown
Noah Brown was born and raised in Fort Myers, FL. He grew up in a Christian household and was saved at a Christian youth camp in North Carolina when he was 14. Noah studied Digital Media Design at FGCU for four years, all the while attending RUF. Through RUF Noah learned how to facilitate small groups, lead a worship team, host events and much more. He also met some of his closest friends to date there and fell in love with leading worship having led the team for his last year as a student and then was brought on staff to continue leading. He ventured out into the world of marketing and graphic design and quickly discerned he desired to enter into a role in vocational ministry, and RUF was the perfect fit, especially after God opened multiple doors which pushed him towards the RUF internship. When Noah isn’t busy with RUF related things he enjoys playing spikeball, writing music, playing video/board games, long-boarding and hammocking. Noah is a member of Providence Christian Church in Cape Coral, a PCA church located relatively close to FGCU’s campus.

Mikaela Sesler
Mikaela Sesler grew up in Orange County, California. She recently graduated from UCLA with a degree in Financial Actuarial Mathematics. She loves spending time with people—whether it's on long walks, drives along the PCH, or during a game of beach volleyball/spikeball. Through RUF at UCLA, God deepened her knowledge of His ceaseless comfort and grace. She is so excited to know and love the students and staff at FGCU!
