RUF is a community of students who gather together to rest in the good news of the Gospel and wrestle with big questions of life and faith in community. RUF meets Wednesday nights from 7-8 pm at Brooks Commons in Cannon Chapel, and the evening consists of fellowship, singing, and a message from Scripture! All are welcome, feel free to reach out with any questions.

George Hamm
George grew up in Birmingham, AL and studied at Auburn University, where he learned to love and be loved by Jesus. He and his wife Laura met at RUF Summer Conference, and have two little girls! George loves college students, running, poetry, voicemails, and Chinese food. Give him a call/text anytime.
Laura Straka
Laura is from the land of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Forest, VA but also has Texas roots. She graduated from The University of Virginia in 2014 with a double major in Middle Eastern Studies and Religious Studies. She also has a Masters of Arts in Biblical Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary in Atlanta. Laura loves cooking Moroccan food, reading a good book, and trees.
Joshua Joo
Josh graduated from NC State in 2020 with a degree in history, along with a master's in teaching a year later. He grew up in North Carolina as the eldest of two siblings and was inspired to be an RUF intern during his time at college. He's an immense history nerd, Star Wars fan, and a lover of Central and Eastern Europe.
