Meet Our Team
George grew up in Birmingham, AL and studied at Auburn University, where he learned to love and be loved by Jesus. He and his wife Laura met at RUF Summer Conference, and have two little girls! George loves college students, running, poetry, voicemails, and Chinese food. Give him a call/text anytime.
Laura is from the land of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Forest, VA but also has Texas roots. She graduated from The University of Virginia in 2014 with a double major in Middle Eastern Studies and Religious Studies. She also has a Masters of Arts in Biblical Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary in Atlanta. Laura loves cooking Moroccan food, reading a good book, and trees.
Josh Joo graduated from North Carolina State University in 2020 with a degree in history, along with a master's degree in teaching a year later. He grew up in North Carolina, the eldest of two siblings. He is incredibly excited about serving and learning more about the Gospel with the students at Emory University, and to explore the city of Atlanta for the next two years.
Josh loves Jesus, Eastern Europe, Star Wars, Korean food, instant coffee, and sarcasm (in that strict order). While his main hobbies include writing and drawing, he loves to travel too. Josh also has a passion for international missions, having served twice with MTW before going on staff with RUF. He credits the MTW and RUF Global missionaries in L'viv, Ukraine for inspiring a deep love for missions and God's global Church.
