Nathan Dicks
Rev. Nathan Dicks founded RUF at BU in 2014 after graduating with his MDiv from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Hamilton, MA. Nathan studied at Clemson University, planning to follow in his dad's footsteps as an architect until the financial collapse of 2008 sent him in a different direction. Realizing his love for studying and teaching the Bible to college students, he ministered at the University of Sarajevo, Bosnia for two years then moved to Boston to begin seminary. Nathan is married to Sarah and has two sons, Ward (2019) and Henry (2021). Nathan loves meeting new people, running, playing golf, anything outdoors, travel and good music. Ask him more about himself over coffee at Pavement Coffeehouse.

Serena (Jones) Bergfors
Serena grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania, graduated from Millersville University in 2018, and has been living in Boston and loving it ever since! She was involved in RUF while in college, and that experience grew her relationship with Jesus, understanding of Scripture, friendships, and love for ministry, all leading her to follow God’s call to ministry in Boston. She is thrilled to get to walk alongside the students of BU through their journeys of faith. Serena and her husband, Ryan, were married in 2024 and love music, board games with friends, and just doing life together. Serena enjoys exploring new coffeeshops, will always order the Pavement rosemary salt bagel, and can't wait to get to know you better!
Jadyn Erickson
Jadyn was born in Lubbock, Texas, and has called Albuquerque, New Mexico home for the past 16 years. She grew up as a PCA pastor’s kid and attended the University of New Mexico where she studied speech and hearing sciences. RUF at UNM began her freshman year, and she became deeply involved from the start. What started as a weekly gathering quickly became a steady, formative presence in her college years—a place where she learned to ask honest questions, build lasting friendships, and experience the consistent grace of Jesus in community.
During college, Jadyn also served on staff at her local church, where she grew in her love for walking with people through everyday life. Through both church ministry and RUF, she became convinced that some of the most meaningful work happens through simple faithfulness—showing up, listening well, and being present over time. She loves that RUF embodies that kind of faithful presence on campus.
In the summer of 2025, Jadyn married her husband, Austin, and they are grateful to step into this season of ministry together. Austin has been a steady encouragement in her calling, and together they hope their home will be a place where students feel comfortable, welcomed, and known. Whether around a dinner table, on a long walk, or over coffee, they care deeply about investing in students in ways that feel personal and lasting.
Jadyn loves to read, cook meals for friends, and find new coffee shops to try. On most days, you can find her with a book nearby, experimenting with a new sourdough recipe, walking her dog George Bailey, or catching up with friends. She’s thankful for the opportunity to serve with RUF and looks forward to seeing how the Lord will continue to work in and through the campus community in Boston.
