Meet Our Team
Jay is a North Carolina native. He grew up in the eastern part of the state and went to college at Gardner-Webb University in the foothills. He met his wife while working at a summer camp and they were married in 2006. Jay and Bet moved to Charlotte, NC where he studied at Reformed Theological Seminary and interned at Uptown Church. After finishing seminary in 2010, Jay and Bet moved to Raleigh to help plant Midtown Community Church. After 5 wonderful years in Raleigh, Jay, Bet and their girls moved to Wilmington, NC where is started up a new RUF chapter at UNCW. After 4 years of serving in Wilmington, he was called to serve as the RUF campus minister here at Boise State! He can't wait to meet you! Jay enjoys coffee, modern architecture, cooking, flip flops and wearing t-shirts whenever possible. Jay and Bet have three little girls (Laine, Remy and Breck) and puppy named Lucy.
Alex grew up in Lookout Mountain Georgia and graduated from the University of Georgia in 2014. She was placed as and intern at Boise State and loved it so much that she is staying on as Staff! You can find her hiking in the Boise foothills, playing spikeball in the parks, or eating at one of the fun restaurants in the city.
Rachel was born and raised in LA county in Santa Clarita, CA. To escape the LA heat she attended UC Berkeley, and graduated with a degree in Political Science. She loves great conversation, learning about the world, exploring cities and the outdoors, and any new adventure. Rachel is so excited to meet all the amazing people at Boise State and spread the love of Christ on campus!
Carter grew up in a rural suburb in Virginia. Leaving the Blue Ridge Mountains, he earned his degree in Business Administration from Christopher Newport University, where he was an active member of his RUF chapter and met his now wife, Emily. After graduating, he and Emily moved even further from mountains to St. Louis, MO for a year. Now in Boise, he’s excited to be close to the foothills and mountains of the west and can’t wait to explore them. When not talking to students, you can find him reading, going on adventures with Emily and their cat, Tommy, and becoming a master baker (want a homemade treat? Just ask!). Carter loves coffee and conversation, and is super excited to get involved in BSU sports and campus life.
