Boise State University

Drew, a native South Carolinian, fell in love with the ministry of RUF as a student at Anderson University. His relationship with his campus minister along with the teaching and fellowship that he enjoyed transformed his faith and his walk with Jesus. The summer before his final year of undergrad, Drew met Jessica at L’Abri Fellowship outside of Boston, MA. Though already a well-traveled woman by this point, Jessica (who had finished undergrad, taught ESL in Seoul, Korea, and had her sights set on further overseas travel) saw that young Drew was going places...with Jesus. The two were married within the year!

Drew and Jess attended Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis and from 2012-2020, Drew served as the RUF campus minister for the University of Washington. In 2020, the Burdettes heeded the call to begin an RUF ministry at Oregon State University. And now they are very excited to know and serve the students at Boise State. In their free time, Drew and Jess love to be outside enjoying the wonders of the Pacific Northwest--hiking, biking, bird watching and exploring—with their two boys, Asa (b. 2014) and Beau (b.2016). In other free time, Drew is an avid leather artisan and Jessica is lousy at having hobbies, but is generally productive and helpful. She writes blurbs.
