Auburn University RUF International

Join us for cross-cultural social gatherings and activities!

Welcome to Auburn! RUF-I is a Christian student organization that seeks to help international students through friendship and hospitality. Living in a foreign country can be difficult and lonely at times. We want to make your time in Auburn both enjoyable and beneficial. We host dinners, discussion groups, and activities to help international students meet others, experience American culture, and explore the Christian faith. As Christians, we believe it is our privilege to welcome others who are far away from their friends and families. Please email me for more information.

Michael Alsup

Michael Alsup

Campus Minister

Michael and Kelly grew up in Fairhope, Alabama, and are both Auburn graduates. Michael received a Masters of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary in 1992, and pastored in two PCA churches over the past 27 years. Their daughter, Katherine, graduated from college and works in marketing. The Alsups enjoy hosting international students, and providing opportunities for them to learn more about American culture by connecting them with others in the community.

JT Gilbert

JT Gilbert

Intern

Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, JT graduated from Samford University with a degree in Finance. While at Samford, the Lord used RUF to heavily impact his life, and for the last two years of his college career, he became deeply involved with the ministry. At Samford, the Lord also pricked JT's heart for the nations and continually refined this passion for internationals. He is excited to minister to the international community at Auburn University for the next two years! In his free time, JT enjoys being outdoors, playing sports, game nights, and being with friends!
