Former Campus Minister Elbert McGowan introduced the song “Heal Us” for the RUF & PCA Hymn Sing in June 2023. Rev. McGowan shared stories of the cross-cultural growth that RUF experienced when the first ministries were planted at HBCUs. These growing pains led to an expansion of the music styles sung at RUF conferences, including “Heal Us,” led by Russ Whitfield.
