Welcome to UW! Thanks so much for checking us out. RUF is a student group here on campus that longs to know CHRIST, be changed by him through COMMUNITY, live for a CAUSE greater than ourselves, and learn how the gospel impacts every area of the CULTURE. There's a lot of groups to choose from on our campus. The best way to figure out if RUF is a good fit for you is to simply come and see. We've got a lot of events planned for this fall to help you build community and grow in your understand and relationship with Jesus. Hope to see you soon! All are welcome!

Drew, and his wife Jessica, were called to work with RUF at the University of Washington in 2012. Drew is a graduate of Covenant Theological Seminary and is an ordained pastor in the Presbyterian Church in America.
Although originally from South Carloina, Drew's love for coffee, the outdoors, and all things water, have made him fall in love with the city of Seattle. When he's not pastoring students at the UW, Drew loves to grill and eat delicious food, watch movies, hike, handcraft leather belts, hang out with Jessica, and think of new ways to get Asa and Beau, their little boys, to crack up laughing...which isn't that difficult to do.
Jessica grew up in Memphis, TN, and received her masters of Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary. Jessica has a voracious... I mean voracious...sweet tooth and loves to cook and bake. The only thing that eclipses her love of all things sweet is her husband and her little boys, Asa and Beau. But don't let her hobbies fool you...Jessica loves to be active. She and the boys are always up for a walk at Greenlake and love when students come over for dinner. Friend her on Facebook and message her if you want to hang out. Don't be shy!
Matthan was born and raised in Missoula, Montana. He grew up swimming, skiing, hiking and reading. His love for swimming led him to the University of Southern California. He swam for the Trojans for three years and achieved his Bachelor of Arts in Critical Studies from the USC’s Film School in 2014.
After graduation Matthan went on staff with the Navigators where he served for 6 months overseas before moving to California State University Long Beach in the Fall of 2015. Matthan is eager to continue walking alongside college students and ministering the timeless truths of Scripture to those in such a critical stage of life.
Even though he has hung up his competitive swimming goggles, Matthan continues to enjoy pushing himself physically (in the gym, on the slope, in the pool, or on the trail). But when he’s not outdoors you’ll find him board gaming with friends, devouring a good book, cooking (and eating) tasty food, or simply enjoying good company!
In the Summer of 2013 Matthan met a beautiful young woman named Catie Stone. The more he got to know her the more he fell in love. Matthan will have the honor of marrying his beloved Catie on July 20, 2016.
