Welcome to Reformed University Fellowship at The University of Florida! The purpose of RUF Gators is to build a community on the campus that reaches students of divergent beliefs and doubts with the message of the gospel and equips them to love and serve Jesus and his church. As we shape our lives around the gospel we have the opportunity to participate in God's work of changing lives, healing our world, building community, and renewing our culture. Welcome!
Tim Carper is a native of the great Commonwealth of Virginia and a graduate of Virginia Tech in 2006. Upon graduation he served with a campus ministry at his Alma Mater for three years where he gained a passion for college ministry. During his time in Blacksburg, VA through the help of a local PCA congregation Tim felt a call to pastoral ministry and moved to St. Louis, MO to attend Covenant Theological Seminary. From 2011-2014 he served as the College Director for Central Presbyterian Church at Washington University. Tim reconnected with his future wife, Annie, who is also a Virginia Tech graduate, while they both attended seminary. She grew up in Chevy Chase, MD and received her Masters of Counseling at Covenant. They got married July 4th, which is ironically the Day of Independence.
Caitlin Kenyon is originally from Orlando, Florida where she also attended college at the University of Central Florida. She was introduced to RUF her freshman year and it became a refuge where she found loving, gospel-centered community on a huge campus and truly began to understand grace for the first time. She also got to know her husband Caleb through RUF (bonus!). After graduating from UCF in 2012, Caitlin served as an RUF Intern for two years alongside her husband at the University of Southern Mississippi. In 2014, they moved back to the Sunshine State for Caleb to attend law school at the University of Florida. After working various office jobs for a couple years, Caitlin is excited to be back with the ministry that has played such a significant role in her life.
