Welcome to Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) at the University of Florida. RUF is a community of students learning how to love God, love people, and love UF. Regardless of your beliefs or doubts, RUF is a great place to EXPLORE Christianity and GROW in your understanding of who Jesus is and what it means to follow him. We welcome all, no matter where they are in the process, to be part of our campus ministry.
Brian Thomas came to Gainesville, FL from the mountains of Western North Carolina where he served for 4 years as the RUF Campus Minister at Western Carolina University, but he was raised in the beautiful northeast corner of Alabama. Brian attended the University of North Alabama (historically a division II powerhouse). Upon graduation from college he moved to Fort Payne, AL -- home to the country music group Alabama, Little River Canyon, and Don Chico’s Mexican Restaurant. During his time there he would spend a year in the business world, two years on staff at Grace Presbyterian Church, make lifelong friends, but most importantly marry his best friend Jessica in 2007. Brian graduated with a Masters of Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO, where they developed a deeper love for God’s Word, God’s people, and Cardinals baseball. Brian and Jessica have a son, Noah, and a daughter, Evelyn, who like to wake them up early every morning.
Anna Kristen Mitchell grew up in Flowood, Mississippi just outside of Jackson and graduated from Mississippi State University in May of 2016. After the enormous impact RUF had on her life, Anna Kristen chose to pursue the RUF internship to work with college students on a college campus. Anna Kristen is excited to be working with the students and campus minister at the University of Florida for the next two years. You're likely to find her taking walks around campus, finding new coffee shops, or watching new movies at the theater. Go Gators!

He attended Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina and graduated with a Communication Studies degree with a Religious Studies minor.
