RUF is a place for imperfect people. RUF understands that each person regardless of their outward happiness, beauty or attitude are falling short in some way. We believe that there's a great hope to this imperfection and it's found in the perfect Savior in Jesus Christ. Even if you can't believe such a story, we invite you into community with people in process who cling to such a profound story.

Lee was born and raised in Granbury, TX. He earned a Bachelor’s in Sports Medicine from Samford University in Birmingham, AL in 2006 and had planned to go to medical school after graduation. However, through a college ministry called University Christian Fellowship (UCF), he went to Northern Ireland the summer before graduating and God redirected his path toward ministry. In 2007, he moved to St. Louis, MO and met his now bride, Sarah Viggiano, the day he moved there! Lee and Sarah were married in 2009 and both completed Master of Divinity and Masters of Counseling degrees from Covenant Theological Seminary in 2012. Lee worked in the counseling field for two years in St. Louis before sensing a call to campus ministry. He and Sarah and their oldest child moved to Orlando in 2014 and in three years they’ve added two more children! Lee is a big sports fan and has added Orlando City Soccer Club to his list of favorites. He enjoys coffee, unique ethnic food/hole-in-the-wall restaurants, playing Spikeball and volleyball, following Pittsburgh sports teams, and traveling to places with four seasons.
"One of the reasons I love working with college students is encountering and mentoring them through a pivotal point in their life. For the first time, students are able to navigating important decisions outside of the boundaries of their home of origin. It’s my privilege to walk with students as they explore and question everything, and it’s my pleasure to drive them to truth and wisdom as found in the Bible and the person of Jesus Christ as they ask the big questions about identity, purpose and productivity."
Alex is an Orlando native that has recently moved back to Orlando with his family to pursue a masters in counseling at Reformed Theological Seminary. His heart grew for college ministry while attending Appalachian State University. It was RUF that developed, in him, the desire for the Bible and knowing people deeply. After college he went on to work for RUF as an intern at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville working under Matt Howell. While in Knoxville, he met his wife Abbie. They have been happily married for two years. Alex is excited to be serving with RUF again in a part time capacity while in seminary.
Alex's interests consist of, donuts, tennis, cooking, music, homemade guacamole, and spending time with his wife.
Savannah Shelby was born and raised in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Later she attended the College of Charleston where she majored in vocal performance (opera). It was through RUF that Savannah developed a heart for ministry and for people who feel unseen and alone. Through the community of RUF and the mentorship of her campus minister, Danny, Savannah discovered gifts for the first time that led to her consider campus ministry as a vocation. After serving three years as an intern at the University of Central Florida, Savannah will begin her first year as Campus Staff at the College of Charleston in 2018. Savannah has had the opportunity to minister to students on campus through discipleship opportunities, bible studies, giving talks, and has even used her vocal performance degree to serve on worship team.
Savannah loves reading, Netflix, going to Universal with her roommates, the beach, good food, hiking (when it’s not scorching outside), singing, Halloween, dance parties, Razorback football, and Mary-Kate and Ashley.
