Barush grew up in a Christian family with his dad being a pastor and a church planter. Since he was a teenager, Barush felt God’s calling to serve the youth, and quickly became involved as a leader in the ministry for young people of the National Presbyterian Church in Mexico, as well as in the Chi-Alpha campus ministries (Jóvenes con Decisión). With his wife Lanú they have been working as youth pastors for many years. Barush obtained a degree in Law at the UNAM, and also a degree in Theology at the Presbyterian Seminary in Mexico City. Barush loves playing rock music with his band, play basketball, riding a bike, and sushi! He also loves spending time with the students, and make them laugh!
Monse grew up as a New Age believer until she was introduced to RUF through their English Club and became a Christian during her sophomore year. After that she stuck around in RUF as a student leader until she obtained her BA in International Relations at UNAM. Right after graduation, she joined RUF as an intern for two years, a job that she deeply loved. She went back to school to get a Master's degree in Political Science at El Colegio de México. In 2015, she joined RUF as campus staff along with Barush. Monse is an extrovert that enjoys being with people, all kinds of food, good coffee and interesting conversations. She loves reading (she's actually nerdy), learning new things, hanging out with friends and traveling.
