David Green, a campus ministry veteran with more than 30 years experience, currently oversees more than 15 RUF campus ministers in his role as Area Coordinator. As an undergraduate student at Johns Hopkins University, David led a Bible study and served as president of his Christian fellowship group. Sensing a call to full-time ministry, David abandoned his original plan to study Molecular Genetics on the graduate level and instead joined staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. He served as campus staff on multiple campuses in Philadelphia before transitioning to the dual role of campus staff at Lehigh University and Area Director for Central and Northeast Pennsylvania. Motivated by a desire for formal training and a connection with the church, David left InterVarsity in pursuit of an M.Div. from Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia.
Upon graduation in 1998 David joined staff with RUF and returned to Lehigh University. There he served as campus minister until 2008 when he was appointed Area Coordinator for the Northeast. When he is not traveling to various RUF campuses, David continues to reside in Bethlehem, PA. David is married to Ruth, a Lehigh alumna turned devoted homemaker and teacher of English Literature, and they have five sons who span a wide geographic range from Bethlehem to Taiwan.
