Elliott and Carrie moved to Starkville in June 2017. They have four children: Thomas (12), Harris (10), Graham (8) and Jerome (5). Elliott grew up in Jackson, MS, and while he is an avid Mississippi State fan and began college at State in 2002, he graduated from Ole Miss in 2006. Carrie grew up in Peachtree City, GA and attended Mercer University from 1997-2001 before moving to Oxford to work as an intern with RUF at Ole Miss. This is where the Everitts met, and they were married in December 2005. After Oxford, Elliott served as Youth Director at First Presbyterian in Yazoo City, MS (2008-2012), graduated from RTS in Jackson (2012), and served as RUF Campus Minister at Mercer University in Macon, GA (2013-2017). It is a great joy to be back in Mississippi and especially to be in Starkville at MSU. If you’re trying to find Elliott, he’s usually wearing maroon and somewhere on campus.
Carrie grew up in Peachtree City, GA and graduated from Mercer University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. While at Mercer, Carrie fell in love with RUF, Covenant Theology and First Presbyterian Church Macon, GA. After college, she moved to Oxford, MS where she served as an intern with RUF Ole Miss for 3 years. While in Oxford, Carrie met and married Elliott Everitt. While Elliott worked his way through seminary at RTS Jackson, the Everitts lived and served at First Presbyterian Church in Yazoo City, MS. During those fun years, Carrie was a full time mom to 3 kids: Thomas, Harris and Graham Eloise. After graduation, Elliott accepted the call to RUF Mercer and served as the CM there for 4 1/2 happy years. While in Macon, a 4th child, Jerome, was added to the Everitt clan via foster care and adoption. From Macon, the Lord called Elliott to work for RUF at Mississippi State University where he has served now for 2 yrs. In January of 2019, Carrie officially came on staff with RUF alongside Elliott. She loves hearing student’s stories, teaching her Wednesday night bible study and watching her kids live the RUF life.

Grant is from College Station, Texas and spent his childhood dribbling a basketball and annoying his younger brother. While in college at Texas A&M University, he started going to RUF and later met his spouse, Anne Michal. He is excited to be a part of the RUF at Mississippi State and is looking forward to the southern delicacies that are crawfish and boiled peanuts. Grant is commonly referred to as Mr. Kat and aspires to colonize Mars.
Shelton is from Memphis, TN, where she graduated from Hutchison before heading to Ole Miss. She grew up a both a Rebel and LSU tiger fan, so it was no surprise that she went to Ole Miss. RUF was a large part of her time at Ole Miss, and she is excited to be apart of RUF at State.
