RUF has been on the campus at Mississippi State for over 35 years. Whether you're taking your fifth-year victory lap or you're a new student, we welcome you to RUF. Reformed University Fellowship is a college ministry with a heart for students and the Gospel. Convinced or unconvinced, RUF is a safe place to explore the claims of the Bible while building relationships with people.
Brian was born and raised in Jackson, MS, and graduated from Ole Miss. After graduation, Brian worked for two years with RUF as an intern at Auburn University. He then got married and moved to Jackson to attend Reformed Theological Seminary. While in seminary, he worked with college students at First Presbyterian Church and Millsaps College. Upon completing seminary, Brian was ordained and he and Liza moved to Starkville, MS to work with RUF at Mississippi State University. They have three children Shelby, Annie and Clark.
Allie Harmon grew up in Montgomery, AL and graduated from Auburn University in 2016 with a degree in Elementary Education. At Auburn, she found RUF to be a place that taught the hope of the Gospel for broken sinners. Amidst the busyness and emotional chaos of college, Allie needed the reminders of the truth that God loved her, despite who she was. For that reason she decided to be an RUF intern and she cannot wait to begin at Mississippi State in the fall.
Matthew grew up in Memphis and graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville this past spring. In college, he became involved with RUF, his local church, and an after-school program. Through these service opportunities, he found a heart for loving people and swooned at the idea of working with RUF after graduation. He's beyond excited to be surrounded by such passionate students and staff at Mississippi State for the next two years. You're likely to find him trying to play sports on campus, running around Starkville, or eating at a restaurant he hasn't tried yet.
