Welcome to RUF Lynchburg! We're a citywide community of college students learning to love God, love people, and love our campuses. We do that by creating safe places (large groups, small groups, and one-on-ones) where students, regardless of their beliefs or doubts, can consider the good news of Jesus and integrate it into every area of their lives. Whether you attend Liberty, Sweet Briar, Randolph, Lynchburg College, or Virginia University- we hope you'll find your place in our RUF family.
If you're interested in joining a small group on your campus, contact Marc (email@example.com)
Need a ride from your campus? Contact our rides team, Evan Maddox (firstname.lastname@example.org)

Marc began RUF Lynchburg in the Fall of 2008 after serving as the campus minister at Texas Tech for 7 years. After graduating from Liberty University in 1996, Marc earned a ThM from Dallas Seminary. Marc met and married his beautiful wife, Amy, in Dallas. He loves adoption, downtown, home remodeling, the outdoors, coffee, stories, movies, and shows. Marc and Amy are excited to see God work through RUF in Lynchburg! They feel blessed to minister to such a great group of students from the local colleges.
Marc and Amy are blessed with two beautiful children- both way cooler than they are: Caroline (born in 2008) and Jameson (born in 2012).
“Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to be useful to the town of Lynchburg. I consider it as the most interesting spot in the state.”
– Thomas Jefferson
Born and raised in Memphis, TN, Taylor is a recent Lynchburg transplant. He graduated from the University of Memphis in May 2015 with a degree in history. During college, Taylor worked as a professional musician (singer/band leader) outside of school and could be found singing at wedding receptions anywhere between New Orleans and Atlanta on a given saturday night! After getting involved with RUF his junior year, Taylor accepted the internship and currently plans to continue on to seminary thereafter. In addition to music, Taylor is an avid reader, blogger, and is working his way up (baby steps) to being a half decent cook. He is a Myers Briggs certified extrovert. He also owns many leather bound books and is "kind of a big deal". People know him.
Taylor is excited to serve with such a diverse group of students and looks forward to years of God's faithfulness in their lives and his own! He doesn't believe in luck, just in grace and he takes Jesus very seriously. The rest? Not so much.
From a childhood spent in the lovely Summerfield, NC to four beautiful college years in the glorious Blue Ridge Mountains studying English Literature at Appalachian State University, Audrey has always had a deep love for books, climbing trees, and sitting in a comfy chair conversing with friends. She is thrilled to have mountains near by in Lynchburg and even more thrilled for opportunities to climb trees and sit in comfy chairs conversing with college students in the Lynchburg area.
As much as Audrey loves to "introvert," she also loves to go on drives, explore hidden gems with friends, and play music loud enough to cover her own attempts to sing along.
Though she finds humor in about every aspect of life, Audrey enjoys delving into psychology, theology, and the intricate things in life. She cannot wait to grow in love and understanding through relationships with students and the city of Lynchburg, VA!
